Utilization of coconut coir waste products: environmental and economic education efforts for Kertaharja Villagers

Kertaharja is the largest coconut producing village in Cimerak District, Pangandaran. 35% of weight coconuts will be waste form coir. Unfortunately, residents do not know about this product that has economic value and can become an environmentally friendly growing medium. Therefore, Community Service activity aimed at educating environment family economy with respective targets being children SDN 2 Village. The environmental education method uses pre-test post-test cocopeat material as medium, while opportunity seminar from coir waste. results show increased students' understanding on media. Meanwhile, interest to utilize for additional income.
